About Croft Farm
Suffolk Countryside Retreats
Set in the peaceful village of Snape, Croft Farm has been welcoming guests to the Suffolk countryside for over 30 years. What began as a family home and working farm has slowly grown into a collection of comfortable cottages and a small, quiet campsite. Shaped by a love of the landscape and a belief in simple, genuine hospitality.
Our Story
Welcoming guests for over 30 years.
Croft farm was acquired by the former farming family in 1914 as a working farm. The farm started to diversify and provide tourist accommodation in the early 1990s, when the old granary and forge were first restored and opened to visitors looking for a slower, more personal kind of stay on a working farm. Following that a campsite was opened for five pitches further diversifying from the core farming activities. Since then, Croft Farm has evolved with care, never rushed, always rooted in its surroundings.
In 2022 the former owners sold the majority of the farmland and we acquired the farmhouse, cottages and campsite in 2025 and we hope to continue to diversify and with care enhance the accommodation and facilities on offer.
Our Place
In the heart of the Suffolk Coast.
Snape is in the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a landscape of salt marsh, woodland, and open heath, stretching all the way to the Heritage Coast. From here, you can walk to Snape Maltings, follow the Sandlings Walk, or explore Aldeburgh, Orford, and countless hidden tressures just a short drive away.
This is a corner of Suffolk where you can truly slow down, where time feels different, and the sky always seems a little bigger. Although Croft Farm is new to us we have had a home in the Village (Hill House) for over a decade and can’t wait to share this phenomenal location with you.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.” - Mark Twain
Having had a holiday home in Snape for over a decade we walked past a ‘for sale’ board on a farm and thought that’s nice, one day I’d like to get something like that.
Roll on 12 months on we now live here, we have sold everything we own in Essex, moved our business and made the permanent move to Suffolk. We now look forward to continue to improve the facilities that are on offer and meet more of our fabulous guests that has been fantastic unexpected bonus.
Hendricks

Hendricks is a new addition to our family, along with his feline sisters you will see him patrolling the grounds, looking for things to dig, sniff or lick…
