Campsite Rules and Visitor Guidelines

Welcome to Croft Farm — we're so pleased to have you. These guidelines help us look after this special corner of Suffolk for everyone who visits, and for the wildlife and countryside that make it so wonderful. Thank you for being part of it.

Before you arrive: Your pitch allocation, directions, and local information pack will be sent by email 7 days before your stay. Please proceed directly to your allocated pitch on arrival — one of the team will come to welcome you there. No need to check in anywhere first.

A

Arrival & Departure

  • Check-in from 2pm, check-out by 11am
  • Proceed directly to your allocated pitch — the team will come to welcome you there
  • On departure, ensure your pitch is clean and all waste placed in the bins provided

Your Pitch

  • Please respect your neighbours and maintain a considerate distance between units
  • Caravans: park between the white pegs — positioned for fire safety
  • The site is all-grass on free-draining sandy soil — driving is fine in the vast majority of conditions
  • One vehicle per pitch unless agreed in advance
  • Keep your pitch tidy throughout your stay

Noise & Quiet hours

  • Quiet hours are 10:30pm to 7:30am
  • Generators are not permitted on site
  • Music must remain at a conversational level at all times
  • Please keep voices low after quiet hours

BBQS & COOKING FIRES

  • Open fires and fire pits are not permitted on the campsite
  • BBQs are welcome — disposable BBQ bricks are available on site
  • All BBQs must be raised off the ground — never directly on the grass
  • Spent charcoal must be fully extinguished and disposed of in the steel bins provided
  • Do not leave BBQs unattended while in use

Children & South Field

  • Children are warmly welcome and remain the responsibility of their adults at all times
  • South Field is designated adults only — please respect this
  • Please supervise children near BBQs and boundary fences
  • The farm is a working environment please observe all safety signage
  • Beware of tractors on the farm tracks, give way and keep children clear

Dogs & Pets

  • Well-behaved dogs are very welcome!
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead of no more than 3 metres throughout the site
  • Dog waste bag dispensers are located around the site
  • A dedicated dog waste bin is provided
  • Dogs must not be left unattended at your pitch
  • Certain fields will be opened for off-lead exercise when not in use for livestock, these will be clearly signposted
  • Please take extra care near farm animals and livestock fields at all times

Facilities

  • Facilities are for the use of registered guests only - please leave them as you find them
  • Showers and washing facilities are available 24 hours
  • Please be considerate of other guests when using shared facilities
  • Waste must be placed in the correct bins: general waste, recycling, and food waste
  • Grey water must be disposed of at the designated waste water point - never on the grass or in surface drains
  • Fresh water standpipes are for drinking and cooking only

The countryside, Farm & Wildlife

  • Please respect the natural environment and leave it as you found it
  • Do not pick wildflowers, disturb wildlife, or interfere with hedgerows and field margins
  • Keep to footpaths when walking on or near the farm, and close all gates behind you
  • Do not feed the livestock unless supervised by a site employee
  • Drones are not permitted anywhere on the farm or surrounding land
  • Fishing, foraging, and use of metal detectors require prior permission

General: We ask all guests to treat the farm, its surroundings, and fellow visitors with care and respect. The management reserves the right to ask guests who do not observe these guidelines to leave without refund. We hope your stay with us is a truly memorable one.
